About the treatment

Replacing a missing tooth with a small screw-shaped implant is one of the gentlest forms of tooth replacement. Neighboring teeth are not damaged and a natural load on the bone during chewing is achieved. In addition, implant restorations are usually much easier to clean than traditional bridge restorations. This prevents inflammation of the gums and bone in the long term.

Procedure

Before starting treatment, we use digital volume tomography (DVT) in our practice to obtain a precise, three-dimensional image of your bone situation.

The technology, also known as "3D X-ray", allows highly precise planning of the implant position in the bone. As a result, time-consuming, invasive and costly bone augmentation treatments can often be avoided.

On this basis, we create an individual treatment and cost plan that includes all the necessary treatment steps. During a consultation, we will explain your findings and the planned steps and advise you on the procedure.

We then perform the oral surgery on an outpatient basis in our practice. Aftercare and monitoring of the healing process takes place during the final check-up appointments.
